Was it Wednesday or Thursday?
I went online to see if I could find a nice Father’s Day gift that was somewhere between practical and fun. As I clicked on the link, “Moon Man” dropped in my head, so I typed in those words to see what showed up.
I knew I wanted a figure, not a book or lights. The first image to appear was this astronaut all in gold. I fell in love and felt he was perfect for my husband.
Ed didn’t react much when opening the gift. He tried to open the gold mask, though, and then put it on a window sill, backlit, next to the fireplace. I moved Moon Man to the record player, half looking out the window and half looking toward us.
Much better.
I keep staring at the silvery gold figure with a smile in my heart. It’s like our son James is here. I always used to call him “Micro Kid,” after that Level 42 song.
Happy Father’s Day.
This is really cute, and the photo with your reflection in the gold mask is adorable! Happy Father's Day to Ed!
